Solvents & Degreasers
We manufacture solvents and degreasers for all industrial cleaning needs. Our SUPERSOLV 550 solvent based cleaner can be used as a general purpose cleaning agent for the removal of oil, grease and other contaminents from metal surfaces. We also have water based cleaners and degreasers such as our SUPERSOLV 450 W. These SUPERSOLV products are used to clean mould tools and other surfaces which require thorough degreasing. IKV also manufacture a range of fluorinated fluids exempt from O.D.P. (Ozone Depletion Potential) which can be used as a solvent or carrier fluid for fluorinated lubricants, oils and greases.
Their properties are similar to those of other fluorocarbon solvents which are no longer in use due to their environmental impact. These non flammable, chemically stable and non explosive solvents have a relatively fast evaporation rate and leave surfaces perfectly dry following evaporation.
These products include IKV-SOLV XF and should be used for the cleaning of parts previously lubricated with fluorinated oils and greases to remove their presence.
We also manufacture effective biodegradable solvents including IKV BIOSOLV 9150. It is is an alternative to petroleum solvents (xylene, white spirits, etc.) in all degreasing applications; manual, cloth, brush, spray, and washers.
We have food grade NSF K1 and NSF K2 registered cleaners for use within the food industry.
Biodegradable Solvents
IKV BIOSOLV 9150 is less volatile than conventional solvents. It does not generate volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that contribute to troposphere ozone formation which present a hazard to health. Industrial applications of bio-solvent are growing, especially for printing inks and for dilution of bitumen in construction applications. This bio-solvent can be used to meet current and future hygiene, safety and emissions of VOCs regulations, which is a major advantage for manufacturers.
IKV BIOSOLV 9150 has a wide range of uses as a degreasing solvent, effective on heavily soiled organic and mineral grease, bitumen, adhesives, sealants and polymers, etc.
IKV Lubricants degreasing solvents offer:

It is biodegradable, has low inflammability, is non-carcinogenic, non-toxic, non-reactive with other chemicals and non-irritating to the skin as it is derived from plant sources.
Fluorinated Solvents

IKV SOLV XF & IKV SOLV XRF are suitable for:
– the cleaning of glass, plastics, and metal parts
– the washing of electrical or electronic components
– the dispersion (for ease of application) of greases and oils especially fluorinated ones
– the cleaning of parts previously lubricated with fluorinated oils and greases to remove their presence
Food Industry Solvents
IKV SOLVALIM 60 is a cold degreasing agent entirely exempt from aromatic and halogen compounds offering a good solvent power and evaporation rate adapted to most industrial applications with NSF K-1 approval (solvent cleaners – non-processing area products).
IKV SOLVALIM 60 has the following properties:
– Practically odourless and not aggressive to the skin
– Meets requirements of the agricultural, aeronautical and nuclear industries
– Has a very high dielectric strength
– Dries at ambient temperature without leaving any trace or residue
– Highly neutral to paints, varnishes and most elastomers
– Can be used on all industrial and manual processes
– Colourless
– Flash point: ≥ 62°C.
