Graphite Aerosols

Graphite is available in aerosols for use in heavily loaded applications to offer greater load carrying capacity, extreme pressure (EP) & boundary lubrication.

IKV-FILMSEC 1084 SPRAY contains graphite powder in an alcohol base. It air dries very quickly leaving a film of graphite coating which is excellent for lubrication.  It is suitable for use on conveyor belts, chain drives, fork lift masts, sliding mechanisms and as a release agent on extrusion dies, moulds and casting surfaces. Is electrically conductive and has high heat resistance properties.  It is excellent for maintenance applications in extreme high temperature conditions as the greaseless formula will not attract dirt or dust and offers protection as a dry film in temperatures up to +1000°C. This product is also available as a bulk fluid for use in spray guns.

IKV-FILMSEC 1084 Spray is a dry film in alcohol carrier, designed to render a long lasting surface treatment utilising the base functions of Lamellar hexagonal graphite. In normal conditions a very light coat is applied, creating a film inferior to 20 um. A thick coat will have a much longer drying time and may cause the product to run, reducing its adherence. During frictional contact the product offers stable and durable protection.

IKV-FILMSEC 1084 Spray comes in an aerosol and may be applied in the same manner as spray paint. This product is also available in bulk. The surfaces to be treated must be completely degreased and clean before application. The presence of silicone products, even in small amounts, may cause adherence problems.

IKV-FILMSEC 1084 Spray may be applied to all surfaces that are compatible with ethanol. To improve adherence the materials surfaces may be roughened by sand or glass bead blasting or chemically, using the appropriate product. Operating temperature: <1000°C.
