Polyurea Greases

On the lubricant time scale polyurea technology is relatively new as grease thickener technology. Polyurea grease technology was developed in the 1970’s and since then significant advances have resulted in higher lubricant performance in a wide range of industrial applications.

Polyurea thickened greases benefit from a drop point around 270°C. These greases have very good water resistance and offer good mechanical stability.

Other advantages over conventional soap thickened greases include good temperature resistance and long-life. These products are popular with engineers because they are perceived to be versatile and tough.

The IKV polyurea thickened grease range includes:-

IKV UREATIC EL-2/S which has a low level and is particularly suitable for use on vertical axis bearings.

IKV UREATIC M-0 is a brown grease with a premium quality mineral base oil. It has excellent lubrication properties for a wide temperature range, from -20 ºC to 150 ºC. A specially formulated additive package also allows it to offer excellent water resistance and good load resistance. NLGI grade 0.

IKV UREATIC M-1 is a brown grease with a premium quality mineral base oil. It has excellent lubrication properties for a wide temperature range, from -20 ºC to 150 ºC. A specially formulated additive package also allows it to offer excellent water resistance and good load resistance. NLGI grade 1.

IKV UREATIC M-2 is a brown grease with a premium quality mineral base oil. It has excellent lubrication properties for a wide temperature range, from -20 ºC to 150 ºC. A specially formulated additive package also allows it to offer excellent water resistance and good load resistance. NLGI grade 2.

IKV UREATIC H-1 is a brown grease with a premium quality mineral base oil. It has excellent lubrication properties for a wide temperature range, from -20 ºC to 150 ºC. A specially formulated additive package also allows it to offer excellent water resistance and good load resistance. NLGI grade 1.

IKV UREATIC M-2/S is a blue grease with a PAO base oil. It has excellent lubrication properties for a wide temperature range, from -45 ºC to 180 ºC. A specially formulated additive package also allows it to offer excellent water resistance and good temperature capacity. NLGI grade 2. Ideal for use on bearings subjected to high rotation speeds where a weak torque resistance is required.

IKV UREATIC H-2/S is a beige grease with a PAO base oil. It has excellent lubrication properties for a wide temperature range, from -20 ºC to 150 ºC. A specially formulated additive package also allows it to offer excellent water resistance and good load resistance. NLGI grade 2. Ideal for use on bearings subjected to high rotation speeds where a weak torque resistance is required.

IKV UREATIC L-2/ES is a beige grease with an ester base oil. It has excellent lubrication properties for a wide temperature range, from -40 ºC to 180 ºC. NLGI grade 2. A long-life grease for bearings subjected to high temperatures.

IKV UREATIC H-2/ES is an ivory coloured grease with an ester base oil. It has excellent lubrication properties for a wide temperature range, from -30 ºC to 200ºC. NLGI grade 2. A long-life grease for bearings subjected to high temperatures.

IKV UREATIC PG 102 TF is a white coloured grease with a PAO base oil. It has excellent lubrication properties for a wide temperature range, from -40 ºC to 150ºC. NLGI grade 2.  Ideal for use on EPDM seals.

IKV TRIBOSTAR MPU 220 is a mineral oil with 220ºC drop point. It has excellent lubrication properties for a wide temperature range, from -20 ºC to 150ºC. NLGI grade 0.

IKV TRIBOSTAR MPU 221 is a mineral oil with 220ºC drop point. It has excellent lubrication properties for a wide temperature range, from -20 ºC to 150ºC. NLGI grade 1.

IKV TRIBOSTAR MPU 221/2 is a mineral oil with 220ºC drop point. It has excellent lubrication properties for a wide temperature range, from -20 ºC to 150ºC. NLGI grade 1/2.

IKV TRIBOSTAR MPU 222 is a mineral oil with 220ºC drop point. It has excellent lubrication properties for a wide temperature range, from -20 ºC to 150ºC. NLGI grade 2.

IKV TRIBOSTAR MPU 461/2 is a semi-synthetic oil with 270ºC drop point. It has excellent lubrication properties for a wide temperature range, from -20 ºC to 150ºC. NLGI grade 1/2.

IKV TRIBOGEAR MPU 401/2 is a synthetic oil with 220ºC drop point. It has excellent lubrication properties for a wide temperature range, from -15 ºC to 135ºC. NLGI grade 1/2.

IKV TRIBOFLON TXA 3 HEP is a special non-flammable white grease based upon a combination of synthetic oils and a polyurea thickener. It provides good water repellent properties and effective protection of metal parts against corrosion.
