Marine Lubricants

IKV manufacture an extensive range of lubricants, greases, oils & dry film coatings for use in marine applications. With regard to oxygen service applications, we recommend ZAROX and FLUOR lubricants, based upon perfluorinated technology. They do not contain hydrogen and cannot support combustion. IKV also manufacture a range of other products ideal for use in marine applications.

This wide line of products provides excellent lubrication at both low and high temperature extremes, resulting in increased durability. They can be safely used with confidence in high pressure air, nitrous oxide & pure gaseous and liquid oxygen (LOX) systems with no fear of combustion.

Completely compatible with all synthetic and natural rubbers, o rings, metals and plastics. We also manufacture products for a wide range of marine related applications including:

The IKV TRIBOSTAR RANGE have excellent water resistance and include barium complex and calcium sulphonate greases, offering a high chemical resistance which allows the product to maintain their properties at high speed and in high and low temperatures. The IKV TRIBOSTAR lubricating grease range have good load carrying capacities and are ideal for use in precision bearings and other machine tool applications.

Barium Complex Greases

IKV TRIBOSTAR MLK 222 is a special barium complex soap thickened grease based upon a medium viscosity mineral oil, offering superb resistance to water washout, steam, acid and alkaline solutions. With outstanding anti-wear & anti-corrosion properties and a good adherence to metal, IKV TRIBOSTAR MLK 222 has a high temperature resistance, providing mechanical stability in a variety of environments.
Ideal for the lubrication of bearings, journals or heavily loaded articulations functioning in an aqueous environment, typical grease applications include pumps, electric motors, washing machines, conveyor systems and transfer rollers. Temperature range of -25 to 150°C.

IKV TRIBOSTAR MBK 2201/2G is a special, long life grease offering excellent resistance to ageing, water-washout, hot water, vapour, acid and alkaline solutions, making it ideal when extended re-lubrication intervals are required. IKV TRIBOSTAR MBK 2201/2G provides superior adhesion to metals.
Ideal for all type of rolling bearings, plain bearings or articulations that are highly loaded, or moving at slow speeds in an aqueous environment. It contains graphite as a solid lubricant to improve load carrying ability especially in cases of extreme pressure and slow speed. Compatible with all seals & elastomers except EPDM, and a temperature range of -10 to 160°C.

Calcium Sulphonate Greases

IKV TRIBOSTAR MCS 222 is an NLGI grade 2 mineral oil grease with excellent anti-corrosion properties, high water resistance, very high load capacity & high mechanical working stability. Temperature range of -15 to 160°C.

IKV TRIBOSTAR MCS 462 is an NLGI grade 2 mineral oil grease with excellent anti-corrosion properties, high water resistance, very high load capacity & high mechanical working stability with a working temperature of -15 to 160°C.

IKV TRIBOSTAR MCS 461/2 is an NLGI grade 1/2 mineral oil grease with excellent anti-corrosion properties, high water resistance, very high load capacity & high mechanical working stability with a working temperature of -15 to 160°C.

IKV TRIBOSTAR MGI 10000 BM is an extra fluid mineral based grease with Moly & EP additives, and a working temperature of -10 to 165°C.

IKV TRIBOCHAIN 4200 WR, IKV TRIBOCHAIN 150 WR and IKV TRIBOCHAIN 460 WR are adherent mineral chain oils with superior anti-wear and anti-corrosive capacities. They offer excellent resistance to damp environments and are ideal for marine applications. Also available as a lubricating aerosol sprays.

IKV MULTI LUBE TF Spray with PTFE is a highly versatile maintenance lubricant with PTFE. Designed as a penetrative lubricant and workshop fluid that cleans and protects application areas. It is for use on general machinery, cables, chains and other maintenance applications over a wide range of environmental conditions.

IKV MULTI LUBE TF contains anti-corrosion and anti-oxidation additives in a solvent/oil carrier. Once applied, the solvent component will gently evaporate leaving a protective lubricating film, which helps to reduce wear & friction. Suitable for the lubrication of chains, bearings, sliding surfaces and open lubrication points on all types of machinery, IKV MULTI LUBE TF displaces moisture, breaks down deposits and penetrates into the most inaccessible areas. It loosens seized, rusted and frozen parts, prevents dirt accumulation and the formation of rust and other corrosives. IKV MULTI LUBE TF is resistant to salt water and safe to use on metals, plastics and electrical equipment.

The IKV UREATIC M RANGE are premium quality lubricating brown greases with mineral base oils. They provide excellent lubrication properties across a wide temperature range, from -20ºC to 150ºC. A specially formulated additive package also provides outstanding water and load resistance. Available in NLGI grade 0, 1 and 2.

IKV UREATIC H-1 is a brown grease with premium quality mineral base oil. It has excellent lubrication properties across a wide temperature range, from -20ºC to 150ºC. The specially formulated additive package also provides good water and load resistance. NLGI grade 1.

IKV UREATIC M-2/S is a blue grease with a PAO base oil. It has excellent lubrication properties across a wide temperature range, from -45ºC to 180ºC. A specially formulated additive package also provides excellent water resistance . NLGI grade 2. IKV UREATIC M-2/S is ideal for use on bearings subjected to high rotation speeds where weak torque resistance is required.

IKV UREATIC H-2/S is a beige grease with a PAO base oil. It has excellent lubrication properties across a wide temperature range, from -20ºC to 150ºC. A specially formulated additive package provides excellent water and good load resistance. NLGI grade 2. IKV UREATIC H-2/S is ideal for use on bearings subjected to high rotation speeds where weak torque resistance is required.
