Speciality Lubricants

Bentonite is a fine grade thickener that is used to form a grease-like paste from either mineral oil or synthetic base fluids.

It provides a non-melting grease for use in extreme temperatures where conventional soap thickened greases ie lithium, calcium, aluminium and even complex products would melt and run out of the application.

Solid lubricants such as Molybdenum Di-Sulphide (M0S2) or Moly, graphite, boron nitride or PTFE can be added to provide additional lubrication under boundary conditions and high load.

They are especially useful for slow speeds and heavily loaded bearings, articulations and similar components.

These pastes are particularly useful in applications where melting out or dripping of conventional greases would cause damage to production or materials therefore, they are highly recommended for overhead conveyor bearings in high temperature environments.
