Lithium Greases

Lithium greases are the most commonly used greases in industry; the most commonly known lithium grease would be lithium EP2 which is available in various NLGI grades and are also available with synthetic base oils.  

Our Aguila 70 EP2 would be our premium EP2 grade. It is light beige in colour and based upon a refined mineral oil. It is therefore of higher quality than some variants on the market.

The term lithium grease can be slightly misleading as the lithium content is actually the thickener used to thicken the oil content to make it grease as opposed to an oil. The formulation of lithium grease includes mineral or synthetic base oil, combined with a lithium thickener, and other additives, to suit special applications.

The use of a lithium thickener assists in increasing the range of operating stability, and the ability of lithium grease to cope with higher temperatures.

Lithium grease adheres well to metal, is non-corrosive, may be used under heavy loads, and exhibits good temperature tolerance.

It has a drop temperature of up to 190°C. Some formulations also include PTFE or other substances as a thickener, such as molybdenum (moly) compounds. However lithium greases can be restricted by the melting of the thickener and in this case lithium complex greases can be used. These have a higher drop point (up to 250
°C).

GA JET-70 - a semi-synthetic base oil special lithium-calcium grease which offers sea water resistance for medium & slow applications. Working temperature of -10 to 110°C.

GA ARMIGRAS 82 - a synthetic base oil, special lithium-calcium grease with excellent low temperature capabilities. Applications include military vehicles & weapons - some NATO approvals.
Working temperature of -20 to 120°C.

LICAL EP-2 - a mineral oil based lubricant with working temperature of -20 to 120°C.

Lithium Extreme Pressure (EP) Greases

GAN 70 EP-0 is an NLGI grade 0 mineral oil based lithium greases with EP additives for the lubrication of loaded mechanisms & bearings working at high temperatures. It also offers excellent water resistance. Drop point is 175°C & working temperature range is -20 to 120°C.

GAN 70 EP-3 is an NLGI grade 3 mineral oil based lithium greases with EP additives for the lubrication of loaded mechanisms & bearings working at high temperatures. It also offers excellent water resistance. Drop point is 180°C & working temperature range is -20 to 120°C.

GAN 850 EP-0000 is an NLGI grade 0000 mineral oil based lithium greases with EP additives for the lubrication of loaded mechanisms & bearings working at high temperatures. It also offers excellent water resistance. Working temperature range is -20 to 120°C.

GAN 850 EP-000 is an NLGI grade 000 mineral oil based lithium greases with EP additives for the lubrication of loaded mechanisms & bearings working at high temperatures. It also offers excellent water resistance. Working temperature range is -20 to 120°C.

GA AUREA 00 is an NLGI grade 00 mineral oil based lithium greases with EP additives for the lubrication of loaded mechanisms & bearings working at high temperatures. It also offers excellent water resistance. Working temperature range is -20 to 125°C.

GA AUREA 0 is an NLGI grade 0 mineral oil based lithium greases with EP additives for the lubrication of loaded mechanisms & bearings working at high temperatures. It also offers excellent water resistance. Drop point 165°C & working temperature range is -20 to 125°C.

GA AUREA 2 is an NLGI grade 2 mineral oil based lithium greases with EP additives for the lubrication of loaded mechanisms & bearings working at high temperatures. It also offers excellent water resistance. Drop point 185°C & working temperature range is -20 to 125°C.

GA AUREA 3 is an NLGI grade 3 mineral oil based lithium greases with EP additives for the lubrication of loaded mechanisms & bearings working at high temperatures. It also offers excellent water resistance. Drop point 185°C & working temperature range is -20 to 125°C.


Lithium EP Greases with Molybdenum Di-sulphide (MoS2)

GA BESMOLY CE is an NLGI grade 2 mineral oil based lithium greases with EP additives, anti-rust additives & solid lubricant (Molybdenum Di-sulphide - MoS2) for the lubrication of loaded mechanisms & bearings exposed to very high loads and shock stresses. Drop point 180°C & working temperature range is -20 to 120°C.

GA BESMOLY L-220/1 is an NLGI grade 1 mineral oil based lithium greases with EP additives, anti-rust additives & solid lubricant (Molybdenum Di-sulphide - MoS2) for the lubrication of loaded mechanisms & bearings exposed to very high loads and shock stresses. Drop point 175°C & working temperature range is -20 to 120°C.

Drop point 185°C & working temperature range is -30 to 120°C.
